Robert W. Ackerman Joins Azima Advisory Board
New addition brings senior-level industry experience to monitoring and
diagnostics start-up.
WOBURN, MA - January 24, 2007 - Azima, Inc., a privately held provider of innovative wireless-enabled remote monitoring and diagnostics services for industrial equipment, today announced that Watermill Group Partner Robert W. Ackerman has joined its Advisory Board.
Mr. Ackerman is the former CEO of Sheffield Steel Corporation (now part of Gerdau Ameristeel, the second largest minimill steel producer in North America). Prior to that he was CEO of Lincoln Pulp & Paper, President of specialty paper maker Premoid Corporation, and CFO of Preco Inc., the parent to both Lincoln and Premoid. Mr. Ackerman is also a former Chairman of the Steel Manufacturers Association.

Mr. Ackerman has an engineering degree from Yale University, an MBA and DBA from Harvard Business School, and is also a Certified Public Accountant. He served on the faculty of Harvard Business School from 1968 to 1974 teaching Business Policy and Management of Small Enterprises and again from 1986 to 1988 in the Advanced Management Program.
